New Customs Legislation
The European Community Customs Code is currently being rewritten with a view to simplifying customs procedures and enabling a more modern system of electronic reporting and single point lodgement. Good news of course, but there are also many other changes proposed which may not be so welcome, eg the removal of duty drawback and a community wide system of administrative penalties.
